Description
Super cool articulating automobile spotlight made by The S.H. Thomson Manufacturing Co in Dayton Ohio, patent date August 23, 1921. The serial number is 1283. It's about 14" long and weighs about 4 pounds. This thing is totally sweet. It is super well made and engineered and it operates smoothly. The unit easily sweeps side to side and up and down. Other than the shaft all the parts look to be brass. The knob is either some early plastic or vulcanized rubber. It does not feel brittle at all. It looks very complete other than the lense. It even still has the original screw holding the bezel and it's not frozen up. The patina on this is crazy good though if one wanted to return it to original glory its basically solid. I haven't seen a spotlight this old. It's totally badass. See pics for condition. Feel free to send an email if you have any questions.
