Description
Home D sells it for $442++. Fully functional, but missing items. A scratch and dent model that I used for one Summer to air condition my living room/kitchen last season. It is missing the main filter panel (back top area) and exact hose fitting. I used a cheap generic AC filter, that I cut the shape of the intake area. I taped this on. I used a near match hose connector and duct taped this in place. This was my work-around for last summer. I'll provide the filter and hose connector I used as well as a hose and window piece. It worked perfectly last season. This unit cooled my area way better than the 12,000 BTU portable AC I used the prior year as well as a lower power bill. It has been used for one season only. It blows ice cold and with a little duct tape or purchasing the correct filter/filter cover and hose connector you'll have full functional 14K portable AC. FAQ It has an exhaust hose, ac connector and window connector. The ac connector isn't a perfect match. I duct tape it to the unit. .......... "I used a near match hose connector and duct taped this in place. This was my work-around for last summer. I'll provide the filter and hose connector I used as well as a hose and window piece." ......... I just tested the low temp and it read 57 on my thermometer. No remote. ........... It is a scratch and dent item that I acquired from Home D. I buy bulk shelf pulls/scratch and dent/customer returns from various major retailers. I sell most of the items on ebay or Amazon. This item appears to be a scratch and dent item with minimal use before I used it last summer. It was missing the back filter grill, filter, remote and hoses. It looks to have been dropped maybe. The top vent grill has a plastic pivot piece broken. The grill needs to be manually opened. I have a close match to the hose adapter that connects to the exhaust of the AC. It needs to be taped on to seal it properly. I use a disposable A/C filter that I tape over the intake airflow that is suppose to have a reusable filter and filter holder that is missing. I used it for one Summer last summer. It worked great and kept my living room/kitchen area cool. 600 sq ft. I have the hose, hose connector, 2 window pieces and a few ac filters. A little tape is needed to hold it together. It isn't the prettiest, but works as well as a pretty one. I spent time sealing my condo also. In order to cool 600 sq ft you can't have many open areas under doors or windows where the 100+ heat is pouring in.
