Description

Overview: Up for sale is this very cool woodblock print of an angry feral-looking samurai/ronin standing amongst some birds. I did a translation of the writing at left, which reads "Kurobo Tamenaka" and "Nonon Sanuki-in's messenger." Not sure if that is correct, however. Based on style and wear, I'd date this to the 1940s or so. Likely an early reprint of a Meiji-era piece. Print is unframed. Condition: The print is in good condition. Wear consistent with age. Some minor perforations in margin. Measurements: Print measures 8.75 inches high x 6 inches wide.
