Beautiful antique cedar trunk/hope chest by Lane Co. - style no. 2130, Art Deco pattern, circa 1946. Perfect for storing blankets and keeping sweaters moth-free (and nice-smelling!) until winter, with a built-in felt-lined tray for smaller items. Can also be used as a bench, at the end of your bed, or as a window seat. It's solid cedar - so it's heavy. My building has an elevator, but you'll likely still want 2 people to move it. Recalled lock has been replaced so the chest doesn't lock automatically. Interior is pristine. Exterior shows a little wear and tear - some scratches on the top from a cat's ill-advised leaps, and some scuff marks along the base - that you can easily refinish, if you'd like.
