AQUA COLOR GLASS telegraph/telephone insulator collectible from 1940’s era, rare find. Vintage from the 1940s The Hemingray Glass Company was an American glass manufacturing company. The company was founded by Robert Hemingray and Ralph Gray in 1848 and was the largest manufacturer of glass insulators in the world. Over time the company had different names, including Gray, Hemingray and Bros., H.G. Co. and R. Hemingray Co. The Hemingray company had factories in Cincinnati, Ohio; Covington, Kentucky and Muncie, Indiana. It produced a variety of other glass objects. In 1933, the company was sold to the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. Has some dings.
