Description
This is an actual working light that was produced by Safetran systems to be used in railroad operations. This is a must have for any collector or railroad enthusiasts. The object in the image is a Safetran railroad signal light, likely part of a switch signal or crossing signal assembly. It’s also referred to as a dwarf light signal, which is used to inform the conductor that the ahead section of track is clear or not clear to proceed. These lights are used in various railroad signaling applications, including switch signals to indicate track occupancy and route alignment, or crossing signals to warn of approaching trains. These lights are commonly used in the past and currently used with present day railroad operations. The top section light is red and the bottom section light is green. This unit is like new and has never been used in railroad operations. The visible lenses have a concentric ring pattern, which helps in focusing and directing the light. The black housing is typical for outdoor railroad equipment designed to withstand environmental conditions. This light is solid and weighs around 25 lbs.
