Datsun 280ZX California Datsun Performance Rebuilt Engine

The time has finally come to let go of my Datsun project. I’ve been building this car for about three years, and while it’s been an incredible journey, unforeseen circumstances have left me without the time or space to finish her. I’ve listed all of the major upgrades and work done below. The vehicle does run, but after having it tuned and the ECU installed, I was advised that it’s producing” TOO MUCH POWER “ for the automatic transmission. It will need to be converted to a manual transmission to handle the performance properly. Currently, when shifting into gear, the car will stall unless you hold the throttle — you can feel the power engage immediately. The engine was rebuilt by California Datsun and dyno-tuned by Erik’s Racing, both highly reputable shops (you can find them on Instagram and see the quality of their work). My original plan was to complete the build with a Pandem widebody kit and Watanabe replica wheels, but life threw me a curveball and I can’t see it through right now.
