Description

Pre-owned. Great condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. A few tiny black spots which actually seem to be mixed in with the white paint. (See pics). Adorable! 2 White Persian Cats/Kittens with Blue Eyes. 1 Lefton #1513: laying on its back with all four legs/paws playfully up in the air. 1 Napcoware #6550: standing with one front leg/paw slightly lifted up. “George Z. Lefton arrived in the U. S. from Hungary in 1939. He founded the Lefton Company in 1941 in Chicago. George Lefton died in 1996 and the Lefton Company was sold in 2001 after 60 years of producing some of America’s most popular collectibles and kitchenware. Production under the Lefton China label continues today.” “The National Potteries Corporation, or Napco,, was founded in Bedford, Ohio, in 1938 by Irwin Garber and David Rein. In 1960, Garber left Napco to found International Art Ware Corporation (INARCO). In 1985, INARCO purchased Napco. The company eventually shuttered leaving behind a smorgasbord of novelty ceramics highly desired among collectors.” Lefton: Approx. 2 1/2” Tall & 5 1/2” Long. Napcoware: Approx. 3” Tall & 3 1/2” Long Total Weight (2): 5.1 oz
