Description
Jump on this, I guarantee the first person to see this will buy this Black 2014 BMW 550i with M-sport & Executive packages with 75k miles. This was formerly my wifes car before she bought her volvo XC40, after that I used it as a commuter car to Jupiter daily.... The finish and interior is in phenomenal shape aside from clear coat failure on the rear bumper. The car was purchased cash in certified condition in 2016 from Brahman Jupiter, so clean title transfer. I have priced the car with lots of room to finish the repairs that I cannot due to taking a traveling position with no time to do the repairs myself... Hence the price reduction! This car, with its options and its asthetic condition with the repairs would sell at $13k upto as much as $20k(based on FB listings) with over 100k miles. So you will have room to do the repairs required. In November 22' the car went into limp mode while on the turnpike under acceleration, I immediately took it to brahman Jupiter and they replaced the bank 1 HPFP(High Pressure Fuel Pump) which did get it back on the road, weeks after that, It went into limp mode again. It sat at my home inside and outside. In May of this year, I brought it into the garage permanently to reassess the limp mode with otofix d1 pro OBD diagnostic tool and replaced all plugs, (2) ignition coils, bank 1 & 2 high pressure fuel rail sensors, low pressure fuel pump, pre and post cat O2 sensors and MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor on bank 1, replaced engine compartment seals and trim around the motor, oil and filter change and new H9-AGM Diehard Battery. To minimize coking up the O2 and MAF sensors engine start -up's were done sparingly. When I did the oil change, I needed to jack the car up, it slipped off the jack breaking the EPS(Electronic Power Steering) power and communication module. The module housing is cracked and flexray comm connector was partially crushed, but was able to temporarily repair the flexray comm wire and connector. The power connection is fine, but terminals inside the EPS control module are damaged. This will require a new EPS Rack, BMW does not sell the ECU module alone as this is the only part that was damaged, some ebayers sell the ECU attached to the motor w/o the whole rack but I just dont have the time.... Due to jack incident, I recently was able to use ISTA-D on the car and to perform full diagnostic start up test. This revealed that the low fuel pressure and misfires on bank 1 are being caused by faulty fuel injectors on cyl. 1, 2 & 3. It also confirmed EPS loss of power and communication with the EPS ECU. Full EPS racks are around $1200. It also indicated that the door handles have to be replaced which are $120 for all four on Amazon or eBay. The right side headlight will need to be replaced along with the TMS module...Non OEM Headlights run around $400 and it's TMS is under $100. The left hand(drivers side) Headlight is perfect, but will likely need a TMS, these are easy to install from the wheel wells... As I said earlier, I only start the car to test, bc the DME's(computers for each bank) immediately turn the fuel injection off on the affected bank I do not let it run long to minimize damage to sensors. The injectors should still be under 10yr/120mi warranty. The car starts right up, just looking for new injectors. I'm hoping to find a BMW enthusiast that the understands the current issues and the extent of repairs and who will sieze the opportunity of this appropriately priced beautiful car. This is a fair price, come see and start it up with me. The sale will also include the original new condition carpet floor mats, trunk cargo liner, key for rim locks, two key fobs, (4) new jack inserts and the OBD tester that was used with all test result readings since early summer.
