I have a 1997 Honda CRV first generation. Has the original 2.0L 4 cylinder and the 4 speed auto tranny. My girlfriend just bought the car and was lied to about the check engine light code. Dude said it needed an awd service but It was actually throwing a code for torque converter. With the car having high miles we have parked it and decided not to try and fix it. That said the car runs and drives very good. Its 95% perfect. Aside from feeling the need to baby the transmission. Once it gets past first gear drives great. This is a 3 owner car including myself. I have not transferred title yet as I wanted to make sure that it would be reliable but I am too nervous for driving this In traffic. The previous owner of 19 years drove it only highway miles between Everett and Portland. The ideal owner would want to do the same. Has minty seats and almost flawless door panels. Carpet is dirty but all there and would detail out. Pretty straight exterior as well
