Ran last year haven't tried starting it this year with too much effort turns over won't fire battery won't hold a charge so like every year on the scooters if you don't drain the gas out and disconnect the battery and put on trickle charge during the winter these are the things you have to do so yes it needs a battery that's 25 bucks You need a carburetor or rebuild kit rebuild kits like $4 and or brand new carburetor for $23 dollars and tires new tubes leek slow ,have a clean title in hand asking $525.00 one week then it comes off I will just fix it at the end of the month .
