The Altec Lansing Computer 3 Speakers Multimedia ACS45.1 is suitable for surround/satellite and 2.1 channel formats, with no smart home compatibility. It is a great addition to any computer setup and is perfect for those who prioritize sound quality.   IMPORTANT NOTE: The down arrow (decrease volume button) on the main speaker does not work. The UP arrow increase volume works fine. I just put the volume up using the up button and then use my laptop volume to control the volume increase / decrease.  Once it is unplugged, the volume default is reset. The sound is amazing and while you cannot tell from the video, but the bass from the subwoofer is deep, full and has an adjustable bass setting on the back. It plugs into the AUX output on my laptop. I have not tried it on any other devices but according the MFG specs will work with any device that has an AUX output. I also have an AUX to RCA that I've used for output from a turntable LAPTOP in Photo is NOT included. This is for the 2 speakers and sub woofer only! Please feel free to ask any questions.
