Description
This one owner -- Me! -- used like new Aria Pro II 615-AE200LTD CB (the "CB" is for "Caribbean Blue" -- which, in person, is actually a transparent "Surf Green") is part of Aria's limited edition finishes Evergreen Series of electric guitars (various T-styles and S-styles) made exclusively for Asian markets starting late 2022 and never available to brick and mortar MI retailers in North America. This model was MIC, and this example weighs in at only 7 lb 6 oz, features quality hardware for the price point, cleanly cut and attractive woods, and is solidly constructed and nicely finished. It took a very thin hardwood shim in the neck pocket and tiny bit of finessing the E, A, and D nut slots to arrive at my preferred action with my string set (YMMV). There was also a tiny bit of roughness on the fretboard between frets 14 and 16 that had to be fine-sanded away to match the smooth texture of the rest of the 12" radius rosewood 'board on this guitar's very playable, "medium C" shaped maple neck (check out the comfy heelless joint, BTW). For those interested in the pickups' DCR readings, the bridge reads at 6.98K ohms, neck at 7.42K, and both together in the middle selector position is 3.62K. The three typical switch positions render all the traditional Tele sounds you'd expect, and the bridge pickup is particularly interesting to me, as I found it to manifest a very attractive-sounding, mid-centric snarl when playing with a bit of amp drive. On to the best part: Pulling up on the push-pull tone control to bring the middle pickup into the mix gets you (with this guitar's 3-way toggle flicked toward the bridge) Strat "position 2" sounds you know from listening to Big Star, Derek and the Dominos, Dire Straits, and U2, and (with this guitar's 3-way toggle flicked toward the neck) Strat "position 4" sounds familiar to anyone who's listened to Jimi and Stevie Ray. Another fun thing about dropping the middle pickup into the circuit is that having done that, flicking this guitar's 3-way toggle into the middle position switches all three pickups on at the same time, which makes for very cool -- from quite full to kind of huge -- clean-to-on-the-edge-of-breakup rhythm sounds. I never got around to it, but something that'd be fun for a new owner to figure out is a non-invasive wiring mod that would allow for playing through the middle pickup by itself (while still having access to the tone control). Anyway, enjoy playing, hearing, and looking at this gorgeous, lightweight, easy playing, very versatile sounding import, a "Nashville" style (i.e., 3 pickup) Tele tribute at a great price with the manufacturer's pristine, padded, purpose-fit gig bag included, along with free shipping to the Lower 48, or $79 off for local, in-person, cash purchase. Thanks for checking out my listing!
