Edit: The people are great, transaction went well and smooth. Once we left the lot and got within a few miles from home, the vehicle started stuttering badly at a dead stop but went away after that and just assumed maybe old gas working its way through from sitting in the lot. Now exactly 1 week later our vehicle is headed into the shop. Hoping for the best case scenario on the repair, worst case is over $4k in work needing done.  Almost feel like the check engine light was reset to cover the issue up that is now in our hands to fix and repair. Obviously risks with buying used vehicles, but don’t think the vehicle was serviced correctly or gone over all the way.  It’s a cold start issue and vehicle was shown to us once running, otherwise I would have noticed the issue right away and walked away. Stuck now, and crossing our fingers for a positive repair cost and not the worst case scenario.

UPDATE #2

Estimate coming back at $4-5k in repair IF there are no shavings in the engine which would lead to a $10k engine replacement. Lilly reaches out after this review and talked back and fourth. Seems she didn’t like the time frame I needed repairs done by and the fact that I wouldn’t be paying for any of it. She did not like that I went to a well known shop for an honest estimate before reaching out to them for repairs (they sold me a screwed up vehicle, why would I trust their work). After mentioning that I would take legal action if something doesn’t get handled, she insisted on calling me being very rude. Not letting me talk, very frustrated trying to make points as to what happened and so on and so fourth. This place is a joke, she is a joke, DO NOT visit or spend a dime at any location. STAY FAR AWAY.

EDIT 3:

Final outcome of this fine “perfectly running and beautiful suv” we were sold as “great for the family” is $14,800 (which we have paid out of pocket) for the cost of repairs and labor etc for a new reman engine. Vehicle still remains in the shop, hopefully have it back in the next week or so.  We will then proceed to take legal action for all of this mess which they knew was an issue.  And there is no way they didn’t as they warmed the vehicle up (and stated over a phone call “that it did make a weird sound on the initial “colt start”) before allowing us to see and test drive it. If things weren’t done this way from the beginning, we would have walked away by the sounds it made.  Once again, stay clear of this business and it’s very poor and shady ways of selling vehicles.

EDIT #4

If this place couldn’t get any worse, we have yet to receive any paperwork on the “broken” vehicle we purchased to get it registered and plated.  This is now past the “we have 30 days to get the documents to you” time frame we was told and signed for.

Mr Davis went to great Measures did make sure I was able to get finance for a vehicle even staying late.
