This Beerstein was made in Germany by the company Gerz in Sessenbach in the region Westerwald. That region is famous for making pottery/stoneware products. It is 7.5“ tall, diameter at top is 3.25“, diameter at bottom is 4.25“. It‘s a Maß, which means it holds a liter. It was made after WW2 between 1946 and 1947 because the stamp at the bottom says „French Zone“. The saying translates to something like „ in good company you forget about your worries“. Price negotiable.
