Is not like other stove top grill that the top peels this one doesnt the bottom of cooking plate has a small heat stain i posted 2 pictures on here because since ur grilling directly from the stove flame it stains but the bottom parts are stainless steel and doesnt stain ps the part where u put the meat ON DONT HAVE A SCRATCH ON IT and it wont peel when u wash it with a sponge .
