Description

Hello, This motorcycle has been my personal ride for the past 18 years, and has been flawless. Mick Vallantine of Vallantine Motorworks has performed all the service on this bike for years. (He handles the Seattle police bikes) I've had the top end rebuilt and complete new drivetrain in the past five years. New tires front and rear this past year. Bike had recent check up with all new fluids. Drive shaft splines checked and lubricated. Plugs redone last year. It runs perfectly and never fails to start. Electrical works well, less the switch on the PIAA fog lights does not activate them. Could be fuse, but it was having toggle issues, so guessing that is the case. $2.00 item. Headlight has new Sylvania Gold Standard bulb and is really bright.  Heated grips have two settings, and the high setting is damn toasty. Throttlemeister bar end cruise control works extremely well. Break away mirrors with internal cable locks. The hazard switch bulb is out as the micro lighted cover for the switch fell out somewhere. I saw a replacement switch for $6.00 online. The city bags are perfect size for majority of my rides. Right side bag has crack in hanger. Overloaded for a weekend ride and it came off on freeway. Some scratches and bag works well as long as you don't put a ton of weight in it. Locking keys for all. Battery tender wiring is setup for easy connection and separate plug port for heated vest. Bike was repainted beautiful, dark blue before I purchased it. Was a royal blue prior. I get compliments daily riding it. I have two after market service manuals for it as well. There is a prominent scratch on the top right fairing. This was caused by my son getting down a hanging bicycle in garage. chain rings were the culprit. I've laid it down at a standstill only once prior. No tears or heavy scratches, just the high-point rock chip on fairing as noted in the photos. There are small scratches throughout, but the paint is super durable, and overall looks amazing. The miles are low for this year. This bike has the Luftmeister exhaust. Beautiful throaty note, without being loud. Easy removal of cap for baffle repacking. Corbin saddle. Rear aftermarket rack. List of things done:              Starter rebuilt (new brushes, bearings, seals and o-rings)        Gas tank flushed and fuel filter changed (tank is aluminum, no corrosion)        Front and Rear tires replaced        Drive splines checked and lubricated        Front end disassembled, new progressive springs and fork seals replaced, 10W Fork oil        Front brakes bled, new brake fluid (dot 4) added, pads checked 60%        Rear brake fluid replaced (dot 4), pads replaced checked 70%        Strong alternator voltage 13.70 at 3000 rpm        Triple tree steering bearings removed, packed with lube, re-installed, torqued to specs        Spark plugs cleaned, re-gapped. Replaced last year        Compression up to spec on all cylinders        Heated grips work great        PIAA Fog lights. Bad switch.        Oil change 42k Mobile 1 10w50 (recommended)        Oil Filter Tool Included        Gear box oil replaced BMW 80/90        Final drive oil bmw 80/90        Antifreeze - BMW coolant        All hoses checked. Great shape        Control cables lubed, adjusted        Aftermarket Digital Speedometer with Trip/Distance Avg Speed etc.        Velcro patch on left internal fairing (Put velcro on back of phone for maps, music, calls etc)        Original key and Spare keys for all locks         2x Haynes repair manual all included No oil leaks, rattles or issues. Always garaged. Fire it up and roll across the US without an issue. These bikes are known for their longevity and durability. They are easy to work on and parts are readily available.  Fuel injection allows it to start in any weather and run like a top. I have no time to ride, so am selling it to someone who can enjoy and use it. Local pickup is available for free.  I will work with the buyer's agent to facilitate shipping. Shipping is solely at buyer's expense. Clear title will be provided after deposit is received.
