My husband built this boat in the spring of 2022 as a fishing boat for lakes and bays. I’ve only taken it out about 7 or 8 times. It’s very comfortable, stable, and reliable. It’s easy to get in and out of the water. It seats up to five adults. He loves it but he’s to his next project, a 22 ft. cuddy cabin. The boat is made with wood and fiberglass. I built it to be easy to clean and maintain. All of the interior wood is covered in 2 coats of epoxy resin, and 2 coats of polyethylene paint. The exterior has two layers of 1708 fiberglass, epoxy primer, and paint. I bought the motor, new, for the boat. It’s a 9.9 HP TOHATSU 4-stroke tiller with electric start. In case you’re unfamiliar with the brand, TOHATSU is a Japanese company and manufactures all Mercury outboards 30 HP or less. The two bench seat boxes are filled with marine flotation foam (400 lbs. of floatation), so it’s safe and unsinkable. There’s storage in the bow, and under the seat boxes. A heavy-duty trailer, which I completely rebuilt in 2022, is included. It has new hubs, bearings, wheels, tires, jack stand, wiring, lights, and paint. It’s very road reliable and is more than enough trailer for this boat. Also included is a Garmin Striker GPS/Fish finder, battery, fuel tank, and boat cover. It’s 100% ready for water.
