1998 GMC Purchased the truck to tow my boat. Two weeks later I ended up buying a jeep. So I never did anything with the truck. For the price this is a good truck. It's not all rotted out. Motor was rebuilt at 144000 miles. It NEEDS Two tires The door needs adjusted. You got the typical GM slam to close it. 15 minute job. Put new brakes on it. Never bled the brakes. Probably should do that. Trucks still in decent shape. Inspection has run out. What it needs is listed above. Truck for the years still in great shape. Get two new tires and your good. Truck has some stupid issues for the age. Like the light for the gear shifter no longer lites up, abs lights on as I never finished the brakes. It stops fine but as a mechanic I'd suggest bleeding them. Or drive as is. Come check it out. No hurry to sell it. If it's not sold within the next few weeks I'm just going to throw tires on it and drive it when winter comes. This is a 20 year old truck. Please don't waste my time thinking for $2000.00 OBO you're going to be getting a spotless bran new truck. Questions feel free to ask. I don't have to sell it but I just have too many cars. No, you can't drive it far as it has no plates. No you can't drive it 70 miles one way so your mechanic that lives in his mom's basement can check it out.. but he is free to come to my house to check it out. For $2000.00 it's an awesome deal, no rust holes. Inside is nice. Come check it out. I bought it off the original owner who is 71. So it wasn't abused. Pop tires on it and with the motor rebuilt I don't see why this truck couldnt go another 75000 miles as long as it's maintained.
