This is my first motorcycle and even at 750cc of power, which for most motorbikes is too much for beginners, this one was just right for me. I'm short at 5'6" and am able to flat foot this ride which sits above the ground at 25.8 inches. It is easily maneverable. For you beginners out there: I highly reccommend taking a saftey and skills course. The course provides 250cc motorcycles (typically, Honda Rebels) that are easy to learn on and will help you decide if you really want to buy a bike. You also won't have the added pressure of trying to learn on something you bought.  The clutch provides generous free-play. The brakes are very smooth and this bike is versitile on highways to windy *e rear suspension is pre-load adjustable.
