1979 Honda CB 750 F SS Motor

1979 Honda CB 750 F SS motor. This motor is in good shape, except for the need to replace head due to reason listed below. This came off of my running 1979 CB 750f SS. It has excellent transmission, new clutch and boasts new piston rings. Prior to the incident I honed the cylinder walls and put new rings on the pistons. Also adjusted the head and it ran perfectly since the rebuild which had approximately 3k on it till the incident below. The reason for the sale is because I have drilled through the head of the motor, near the cam chain tensioner while attempting to put a helicoil in due to threads stripping in this area while adjusting tensioner. Anyone who knows these motors also knows that this area is soft metal. When attempted to clear thread area for helicoil my drill bit pulled thru and made a hole. I have not started the motor since. I also have a replacement head for the motor as well as oil cooler attachment with AN fittings and oil cooler. (These can be purchased separately or negotiated into the sale.) $400 OBO
