Born from the dry heat and wide skies of Arizona and Southern California, this leather journal cover carries the spirit of the desert. Rugged, minimalist, and built to last. Sized to fit a paperback A5 journal with a snug, dependable hold. Includes a black A5 size dot grid journal. *Pen not included. I made this journal cover from high quality vegetable tan cow hide that I hand pick and cut myself. Image is tooled and inspired by the deserts of Southern California and Arizona to capture the brilliant sunsets and cactus. Stitching is done by hand with a saddle stitch that is stronger than machine stitching and wont unravel in the event a stitch is cut. Closes with two loops, one on the front and one on the back, that doubles to function as a pen holder as well. Pen loop is large enough for most fountain pens as well as normal pens. Shown with a Jinhao fountain pen as an example. Pen is not included. Notebook will include a paperback, black dot grid A5 size notebook and ready to give as a gift. I leave my notebooks stiff so that the purchaser can decide themselves to allow them to soften naturally with use. This process can easily be sped up by gently rolling and working the leather to their desired softness if they wish. I create small, handcrafted leather goods built to last a lifetime.
