Description

This is my 2008 C5500 shuttle bus, I need to let it go now sadly. It was originally OC shuttle and was maintained mechanically its whole life. It’s registered as an RV and it’s CNG powered so you don’t need smog and I get pretty impressive range. 3-400 miles per fill up depending on traffic but the cost to fill is usually around $60 locally. 8.1 vortec (last big block Chevy) has 250,000 miles on it and based on all my research and time with the truck I have no worries about it reaching 400,000 before a rebuild, these motors are known to go over 500k. Most of the original “RV” conversion (fridge, stove, kitchen sink) has been removed as I’ve been using it to go camping in the desert with my motorcycle. The hydraulic lift is disconnected due to a battery drain (new 2025 battery’s now) but can still be operated manually to load my motorcycle inside. Could easily be reconnected with new terminals if you know electrical, I don’t mind the hand pumping. I still have the bed, a small sink, storage, and the two passenger seats from the original build. It’s been sitting outside for a few months without a wash and two plywood window covers need to be replaced as well as one steer tire nearing the end of tread. It’s pretty much a blank canvas to build into whatever you want. I had pretty grand plans before life got in the way, because of the small things it needs (like a deep exterior scrub) I’ve lowered the price to reflect. This bus can easily pull up hills and cruises on the highway, By 3000 rpm you have all the power you need, and it feels like light work for the truck. Definitely hate to let this one go.
