Seattle Supersonics Folding Chair — Official NBA Licensed Court Side Seat

This is a cushioned Seattle Supersonics folding chair with a galvanized steel frame, featuring the team logo printed in vinyl on the backrest. It was manufactured by the company “Spec Seats” and is the official court side seat of professional basketball (officially licensed by the NBA and used in NBA arenas across the entire country). A piece of NBA & Washington State history, this actual court side seat was used during the team’s life here in Washington — it came straight off of the court from the Tacoma Dome. —— However, it turns out that it is a bit older than 1994: the logo and backrest are done on white vinyl and the cushion color is blue-green, but every team everywhere’s Spec Seats have had a black base and cushion from the 90s up until today. I do not know for certain whether this chair originally came to Tacoma from the Seattle Center Coliseum / Key Arena or from the Kingdome, but while it has some light scuffs and wear on it the item is still in great condition overall. So I would guess the Key Arena (where games were held starting in 1985). Spec Seats & the NBA no longer make these nor any other style of Supersonics seats. Once the team left, the seats were discontinued. They never made or marketed any seats for memorabilia sales — only real, licensed seats for court side in the arena.
