There are no cosmetic or functional defects at all, and it plays and sounds great! If you haven't played a Mustang and don't want to shell out the $500+ for a Mexican Mustang, this is a fantastic value guitar! The 24" scale is a lot of fun to play, and the pickup phasing gives you a ton of tone options. The Duncan Designed single coil pickups sound great as well, and the vintage tuners make it easy to change strings. This is a great guitar for someone looking to add an offset to their arsenal without breaking the bank, or a beginner player looking to upgrade.
