Rare.. Tough to find.. Working all good.. Altec Lansing A-323 B with 6L6 6J5 6J7 sept 1949, MONO TUBE AMP amplifier.. Here is a circa 1949 tube amplifier from the Altec Lansing Corporation of Hollywood, California. It has a six tube compliment consisting of 2-6J7's, 1-6J5, 2-6L6GA's and a 5U4 rectifier. It was rated at the factory at 15 watts but with upgraded 6L6GA's instead of G's it probably puts out a bit more. Imagine what a set of 6L6GC's would do for it! All the tubes are either used or check above minimum. These Altec amps are phenomenal in that they have a flat frequency response of + or - 1db from 20 cycles to 20000 cycles and full rated power output within 1db from 35 cycles to 12000 cycles! It has two inputs, one for phonograph (high gain) and one for radio (low gain). It has three outputs for speakers 2.5-6 ohms, 8-12 ohms, and 16-24 ohms. I was playing a Miller High Fidelity crystal tuner through it to an 8 ohm Altec 600-B speaker and it was clean as a whistle
