Pignose pro Series G40V Tube Guitar Amp

For sale: The Pignose Pro Series G40V Combo Tube Amplifier. A Pignose Tube Amp? Yes! Designed by Dennis Kager of Ampeg, Sundown and Reverend Amps fame? The G40V is a no-frills 40 watt master volume tube amplifier with three 12AX7's in the pre-amp and two 6L6's in the power section feeding a 4 and 8 ohm output jacks, 75 watt, 10" speaker (Upgraded Guitar Warehouse,"). Controls are Volume, Master Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, and Presence. With both 8 ohm and 4 ohm outputs, it can easily run an external cabinet. No built-in reverb, no effects loop. (But very adaptive to DIY mods -- just Google it!) This amp is clean, solid, and ready to be an every day player. The master volume makes it possible to get good tone at bedroom volume, but when you need to bring the noise, this little baby really shines. It's astounding the amount of volume available from this tiny monster. Open up the master volume and there's a ton of clean headroom, but dial back then MV, turn up the volume, and gorgeous tube saturation awaits! This G40V is nearly identical, sound-wise, to Reverend Hellhound 40/60 on its "British" setting. Turns out, the Pignose G40V is just right for both an at-home and gigging amp: lots of clean headroom for the stage, Master Volume for quiet crunch at home, a basic tone stack, and a small size. A perfect "pedal platform."
