For sale is a rare 1890-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. The CC mint mark on Morgan Silver Dollars comes from the Carson City Mint. The Morgan Silver Dollar is arguably the most collected coin in the world, and the Carson City coins are the most sought after and most valuable of all the Morgans. One reason is because the Carson City Mint was only in operation for about 19 years, and only minted Morgans for 13 years. Another reason is because coins minted in Carson City had very low mintages. And lastly, the Carson City mint has a very seedy reputation in that they were known for their corruption and sloppiness which ultimately led to them being shut down. This sorted past is what makes any CC coin instantly rare, valuable, and in demand. As you can see from the pics the coin is in well-circulated, but still good shape, and it would come in at a G grade. But even with the heavy circulation all lettering, date, and that great CC mint mark are all nice and clear. The coin has a nice ash patina to it, and it has no damage at all, but it ha been cleaned at some point. I did reduce the price of the coin nicely due to the cleaning, otherwise it would be priced MUCH higher. This is a great rare coin for any collection! Please email me with questions or interest.
