Description

For gas mileage, this is the best (non-EV) car you can own. The gas mileage on this is incredible -- over 40 mpg easily. Which is amazing considering how well it accelerates. TDI is a turbo diesel. I absolutely love this car, and it's one of the best cars to drive. It's a 6-speed automatic, but you can put it sport mode for sporty driving. Or, if you really want to, you can switch to manual, or what I call race mode, and shift with flappy paddles. I'm a boring dad driver, so I usually just kept it in normal drive mode. The gas mileage is why I bought it, but then I fell in love with the performance and comfort. I work from home, so I don't drive it much anymore. Most of the miles I put on it were long road trips. I'm the 2nd owner. Things that are wrong with it: Recently, I hit a separated tire tread on I-5 and it damaged the front (as you can see in the photos). The front license plate holder came off, but I have the replacement plate. The wheels have minor scratches on them. The paint has a few tiny nicks, but overall the paint has held up very well. Even the front damage is limited to the plastic attached pieces, not the painted parts. The car was actually in storage for a few years in Arizona before I bought it. The check engine light is on right now, but I have the replacement part for it. Also, the tires are very bald. If you buy this car, you'll need to get new tires first thing. It's why I'm pricing this so low -- the tires and the front end damage. It should be going for $2,000 more than what I'm asking. This is the top of the line model for the A3. It's the Premium Plus S-Line. Aside from the quattro, you can't buy a better Audi A3.
