Description

This listing is for a pair of vintage / antique glass kitchen items featuring a ribbed design. Includes: 1. 1920s Hoosier cabinet glass tea container. Clear glass with a ribbed design on all sides and the word, “TEA” embossed on the front. Aluminum lid. Measures approximately 4 3/4” tall with a base diameter of 3”. This cylindrical canister was designed to store dry goods / tea in a Hoosier cabinet. Very good antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Has several manufacturer’s imperfections which were indicative of the time period. Lid is dent free and fits perfectly. 2. Miracle Maize 1930s-40s casserole / loaf dish. Produced by Indiana Glass Company. Miracle Maize line. Measures approximately 9 1/2” long (including handles) x 5 1/4” wide x 1 3/4” tall. Dishwasher and oven safe. Has two handles with “Miracle Maize” embossed. Designed for baking cornbread and other loaf-shaped baked goods. My Grandmother used it to bake cornbread and meatloaf. Nice ribbed design. On the top interior rim are 3 small chips. Some age related flea bits. No cracks or repairs. Both items are sought after by collectors who enjoy vintage kitchenware and appreciate early 20th century ribbed pattern cookware. No stains on the glass. Comes from a smoke and pet free environment. Sold as a pair, not sold individually. Cash only. Pickup in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island.
