Description
An exceedingly rare 18th century Wallendorf porcelain table top grotto garniture. The grotto features three claw feet accented with gold, the piece is draped with a pink drapery with light blue bows and decorated with delicate yellow and pink roses. The base features an applied bouquet of violets, two cherubs gaze downwards into the well. The piece is marked to the underside with the Wallendorf mark used between 1764 and 1787. Measuring 8.0" W x 7.25" H x 6.0" D (20.32 x 18.42 x 15.24 cm), this remarkable treasure is in excellent, very well cared for condition with no visible cracks, chips or crazing.
