Description
From my extensive radio collection. I bought this radio in 1960 when i got my general amateur radio license. It was converted to operate with a Heathkit AC power supply and the modulation was converted to plate driven by a friend. I have used it in the 40 meter AM band with a power of 12 to 15 watts. The receiver portion has not been modified and is very sensitive,as good as my Collins 51S-1 receiver. It receives 2 to 8 Mc. It is capable to receive SSB signals with a built in BFO. It is a nostalgia piece for a real collector. The radio is in excellent original condition cosmetically. The cover was repainted 20 years ago . For local pick up .
