$44,999.00 or Trade? 1980 Catalina 38 foot Sailboat, in exceptional condition. $40k was spent in upgrades and renovations 2 years ago, including new engine. Sleeps 7. Has bathroom, kitchen, dining room, 2 flat screen TV’s stereo, lots of storage and closet space, fridge, stove, burners, new BBQ, DVD with hundreds of movies. The list goes on. We purchased in May of 2020, and enjoyed the boat very much for sailing, having friends over for BBQ’s on weekends, going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings, 2 minute walk, across from where the boat is moored, at the most new, modern, prestigious Marina, in Marina Del Ray, includes, power, water, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, lounge room, vending and ice machines, a few cafe’s walking distance and all the Marina restaurants. We had a lot of fun with the boat, but last March we had a baby, and can’t go sailing much anymore, so instead of paying the $900 monthly slip fee (transferable), and not be able to go so much, we decided to sell. It’s not like a typical older 80’s cat 38, it’s in amazing condition, that’s the reason why we bought it in the first place, because $40k had just been spent on it, and it was in such good condition. I’m in the Porsche business, so I’d sell it for $10k less then what I paid 2 years ago, which was $58k or I’d trade it up or down for Porsches, Ferrari’s Lambo’s, Sports Rolex Watches, or anything high end and interesting, either part trade or full trade, or just outright cash for $49,999.00 Summer will be here sooner then you know, and boat prices will go up, and this is a possibility live aboard too.
