2006 Honda Insight Manual Transmission Hybrid

Here is a final year of the sought after first generation Honda insight. These cars came with either a cvt auto transmission which was heavier and slower, or a lighter stronger manual transmission with fantastic auto on/off features. Pull up to a red light, throw it in neutral, and the car automatically shuts off the engine. Light turns green, push the clutch in, and as soon as you slide gear lever back in first gear, the engine automatically kicks back on. Super cool. This thing grew on me so much since I got it. I've had 3 insights. Currently still have 2. Can't keep both. This has some sort of aftermarket cruise control that currently does not work. AC works well. No grinds on downshifts to second which is common on insight manuals! Hybrid battery pack works well! Paint is shiny and very good! Also a common thing on insights is peeling or fading paint. Gas adjustable shocks all around make for a perfectly smooth great ride, much better than stock. Proper Bridgestone low rolling resistance tires made just for the first generation insight with lots of tread. New 12v battery. Cons: Trunk electronic release doesn't work, just use key in trunk latch to open trunk. Registered permanently in my Montana LLC since I planned on keeping and not selling. Don't have to sell, but would be the smartest thing to do. Moving cross country in 2 weeks.
