This semi-electric homecare bed has a remote to incline the head and back and/or elevate the legs. The handrails can easily be lowered and raised as needed, but are fully detachable as well. The entire bed height can be adjusted manually by turning the driveshaft from under the middle of the footboard. All four legs have wheels that can be locked in place as needed. The mattress is a moderately firm but lightweight foam material. It might seem intimidating, but everything can be carried and assembled by one person if they're able to carry 50 lbs. (the weight of half the bed frame). The bed was moderately used for about 3 months. The mattress was well kept and treated with hospital grade cleaners and bug deterrent before being wrapped in a plastic cover and stored away. The hand crank to raise and lower the legs is unfortunately missing. A drill with a large flathead bit works fine (tighten to lower, loosen to raise), or a replacement hand crank can be bought for $10-15 online.
