Description

Beautiful, Custom, Standard Rig, 1980 Catalina 25 with Bowsprit, Fin keel and Trailer $11,000 OBO Beautiful, unique Catalina 25 sailboat in excellent condition, getting rid of it much earlier than anticipated due to a baby on the way. Many upgrades and extras make this boat, it’s a one of a kind head turner that has served use well and comfortably. 1980 Catalina 25 The Exterior: -Custom 2’ bowsprit (makes tacking with the spinnaker a breeze) -22LB Plow anchor on bowsprit roller with 50’ of chain and 200’ of rope for 50’ max anchor depth (at least for me) -Custom v-birth hatch with port light -All windows upgraded with high strength plexiglass -New Kiwi Grip deck paint -Mast steps -Fiberglass Boom Vang -Wood handrails have been upgrade to stainless steel (easy grip, less maintenance) -All winches have been upgraded to Lewmar — 6 self tailing winches in cockpit — 2 winches on mast with rubber self tailer -Upgraded Lewmar traveler in cockpit -Custom, removable companionway hatch -Custom Tiller with Galvanized handle (barely any wood to maintain) -Simrad Autopilot -12V charging port in the cockpit to keep electronic chart/phone charged -Custom roll bar/sun frame -200W Solar Panel kit with MPPT charge controller -2017 4 Stroke Tohatsu Sailpro 6HP engine -New Total Boat bottom paint 2023 -Contest Compass -Depth finder -Full Batten Mainsail in good condition with 2 reef points -150% Genoa in good condition -Two 110% Jibs in good condition -Asymmetrical Spinnaker like new condition -Running rigging in excellent condition Interior: -Custom hardtop built by a true artisan, a custom cabinetmaker. We have headroom at all times without the downsides of the pop top (no constant breeze or the need for an extra, expensive tent) extra light and an artistic, pleasing design -Sleeps 4 comfortably, 5 in a pinch (if you wanna squeeze 2 people in the V-Birth -Two deep cycle battery bank connected to smart charge solar panels (Solar provided enough electricity for all our needs on a 2 week cruise in the San Juan’s this summer) -Ice Box -Custom single burner stove (available lose, we removed it for extra storage and use a mobile camping stove, also included with the boat) -Dinette style layout -Cushions in great condition, extra included to turn the dinette into a queen sized bed -Composting toilet (separates solids and liquids for less hassle and less smell. The system breaks down toxic solids with hemp so they can be disposed of in a normal garbage facility) -Custom Chart/Captain’s table with 12V ‘cigarette style’ charger -VHF handheld radio -20 gallon fresh water tank -Foot pump for galley sink -LED indirect lighting -12V marine fans by companionway and in V-Birth -Plenty of storage under seats and V-Birth -Lots of extra lines, floating seat cushions, life jackets, bumpers, power chord/adapters, removable swim ladder, extra gas tank Trailer: Galvanized Trailer from Texas with no title Good condition Like new axles (just over 2000 miles on them) Like new tires (2013) with spare in excellent condition Wheel chocks and 20’ hitch extension for easy launch New trailer jack Boat is currently back on the trailer and available to see near Covington, WA It’s been a great boat, we bought it as an experiment to see if we would buy into the boating life and we absolutely have. The last thing I was gonna do was buy a big boat and have it rot in a Marina while we paid monthly moorage for a boat we didn’t use. Our idea was to get a trailerable boat so if we didn’t use it it wouldn’t be a constant expense but could sit in the driveway guilt/rent free. This is a great boat to learn on, 4’ draft and VERY responsive and forgiving, it’s given us a lot of confidence and we have learned many lessons that we’re ready to apply to a bigger boat. Let me know if you have any questions or want to see more pictures $11,000 OBO
