This application allows for superior heat transfer, reduced distortion and higher power handling. Aluminum V/C Former Rockford Fosgate subwoofers use anodized aluminum voice coil formers that provide excellent heat dissipation. Unlike traditional plastic substitutions, aluminum acts like a heat-sink to quickly dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil. This keeps subwoofers cool during high SPL conditions. Embedded DVC Tinsel Leads Heavy duty Dual Voice Coil (DVC), multi conductor wires are embedded and stitched through two layers of treated polyester/cotton fabric. This technique ensures Higher current/power handling, Increased flexural strength & Low noise/high excursion operation. Reversible Mounting Rockford Fosgate subwoofers can be mounted in either direction. A removable trim ring can be installed on the back or front side of the subwoofer frame.
