Description

2007 Honda Accord EX-L (Mechanic Special) 2.4L 4-Cylinder / 166 HP 5-Speed Automatic Transmission FWD Mileage: 365,200 miles VIN: JHMCM56857C001308 Title Status: Clean Selling for relative. Was their daily driver until it started overheating. Looking to sell as a mechanic special, or as a parts vehicle. I tried to be thorough as possible with all issues, but please be aware there may be other issues that I am not aware of or have not presented themselves yet. I cannot guarantee anything g on this vehicle as it is old and mileage is high. - Vehicle has been taken off insurance policy so will be unable to take extended test drive, and buyer will only be able to ride as passenger to avoid any insurance issues. Upon purchase buyer would responsible for insurance of vehicle, however would recommend towing due to overheating issue GENERAL INFO * Title is clean and is signed. Ready to be transferred over * Can provide Carfax upon request THE POSITIVES * No Current CEL * Functioning sunroof * Besides headgasket leak, engine and transmission still both work quite well. No misfires or odd shifting. Due to mileage however, I don’t want to make any promises of their longevity * AC works very well * Rims are alloys from a 2013-2015 Honda Accord. * Radiator, water pump, and thermostat all replaced KNOWN ISSUES * Vehicle normally overheats after 15-20 minutes of driving. Time varies however depending on outside temperature and driving speed. Sometimes also seems to heat up just by idling. Block test showed combustion gases in radiator so it appears to be a headgasket leak, however not positive on which cylinder. Did replace thermostat, radiator and water pump before finding out. Added K-Seal to coolant to hopefully seal up combustion leak but so far issue is still present. When replacing water pump found some corrosion on inside of old water pump so unsure of condition of interior of engine block water sleeves. Coolant also needs to be refilled periodically due to being burnt off * Engine mounts getting old. Acceleration from a stop you can feel the engine lurch a bit * Paint is sun-faded as shown in pictures. Headlights are also quite dull. No major dents or scratches on body. * Interior is what could be expected of having 300,000 miles. One of the knobs is broken. Leather seats have seen better days as well * Steering is a little loose and needs consistent adjustment while driving * Heat function does not work * Suspension is worn and you can feel the creaks coming from the suspension going over bumps and making turns * Front driver side window assembly no longer working. Have new assembly in box but have not installed. * Glovebox broken and will not open * Lock on driver door non-functioning as well * When hot, the crank time to start the engine takes much longer than on cold start * Fob needs new battery * Backseat needs to be clipped back in place * Did a general clean of the seats but they could use some more work
