If you dread having to deal with dealerships, high pressure sales staff, used car salesmen pushing overpriced rusted lemons, and adversarial negotiations, I can assure you that this place has none of that. My experience was the opposite in every way.

I was shopping for a used car for my daughter, visiting many dealers across the valley and stumbled across Foothill Car Co, which had 2 used Corollas in really good condition with decent milage at reasonable prices.

David introduced himself, was very pleasant and easy-going. I took both for a test drive. Both seemed to drive great, bodies in great condition and already fairly priced. I was interested in the cheaper base model. David showed me the Carfax: 2 minor damage incidents.

I thought about it for a couple of days, then phoned back saying I'd like to get a mechanic to verify it's ok. David took it to a mechanic that I selected down the road for me (Pete's Complete Auto Repair, which I also highly recommend), to get the inspection. The mechanic did a very thorough inspection and phoned me saying it was in great mechanical condition, pointed out a few minor maintenance issues needed, no structural damage. I paid the mechanic and phoned David to make a deal.

The negotiation was smooth and easy, no pressure. After seeing many cars, I had a good idea what a reasonable value was and their listing price was already better than other dealers.

If you're shopping for a used car, I highly recommend even checking out what they have at Foothill Car Co. Everything from test driving to buying the car was so low stress it was almost relaxing.
