Description

This Boston Red Sox hat was signed by Carl Yastrzemski in 1980 and comes with a JSA Certificate of Authenticity. Yastrzemski spent his entire 23 year career with the Boston Red Sox. He was an 18 Time All Star, 7 Time Gold Glover, 3 Time AL Batting Champion, 1967 AL MVP, 1967 Triple Crown Winner, 1967 AL Home Run Leader, and 1967 AL RBI Leader. His No. 8 Jersey is retired by the Boston Red Sox and he is a member of the Boston Red Sox and Cooperstown Hall of Fame. The hat was obtained by Carl “Dimag” DePhillipo and was a part of his personal collection. Carl devoted much of his life to collecting baseball memorabilia and assisting players at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Despite never being on the official payroll of the Cleveland Indians or Browns, he was a constant presence behind the scenes, running errands, managing equipment, and offering unwavering support.
