Heavy silver-plated frame with neoclassical columns, original pressed-glass insert (perfect, no chips but there is a manufacturer press blemish pictured ), and the classic cast fish on the lid. These were the fancy way to serve tinned sardines at dinner parties back in the day! Great patina — could be polished brighter if you want, but I love the aged look. No visible maker’s marks (very common on these).
