Description

Dutch antique 1900s copper hammered scuttle with embossed lively tavern scene. The front and sides has been wiped down to show the true copper color and the tavern scene. Hammered copper refers to copper that has been shaped and textured by hammering, creating a distinct surface with indentations and a unique appearance. This process, often done by hand, not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also adds to the copper's strength and durability through work hardening. Because the tavern scene is hammered into the copper, you will not find an exact duplicate like this . In good condition with some tarnishing and minor dents due to wear and age. 20.5 " height and 11" length at widest part.
