Description

This 1968 Chevy 283 block purchased in 1970 in New Mexico at a Chevrolet Dealership in the small city of Alamogordo NM and was brought to California in 1974. It was a NOS “warranty replacement block” that is not stamped for any vehicle. It has all the original paint marking. It originally had the crank, pistons and rods, but time and other projects has seen them used and only the bare block is left. It did have a coat of block sealed in the lifter gallery to aid in oil flow. Again it has never been in a vehicle, run on a stand or even had cylinder heads or an intake manifold on it. A restoration necessity!
