Description

Overview: Up for sale is an incredible midcentury expressionist oil painting on stretched canvas. The painting depicts an old Victorian style home with a radiant burst of clouds and trees behind it, almost appearing to be a fire. There is a ghostly figure to the right. Really an absolute masterpiece of a painting. It is signed "R. Mosier" at lower left. Undated, but appears to be 1950s or 1960s based on canvas age. I haven't found any information on the artist, but clearly a master. Framed in an elaborately-carved midcentury wood frame with linen matting. Condition: Painting and frame are in excellent condition. Measurements: Painting measures 16 inches wide x 12 inches high. Frame measures approximately 24 inches wide x 20 inches high.
