Up for your consideration & buying pleasure is a Beautiful 1952-54 Slingerland “Radio King“ 16 Lug Buddy Rich Model Snare Drum. This snare has the famous 1-ply Solid Maple Shell that Slingerland Radio Kings are renown for! A very rare and desirable Model, this early 50s RK has the 3-point strainer with a simple butt plate design. *No extended bridges makes this model very unique. Note: There are shadows in some of the photos that are NOT in the sparkling pearl finish. As collectors we refer to this snare as the “Buddy Rich Model.” Buddy preferred a simple 3-point strainer with string design and simple butt plate. The first Buddy Rich model Radio King cataloged, technically has 16-small beaver tail lugs and was 6.5“ or 7 x14“, very similar to the “Hollywood Ace Model without the extended bridges. ** This particular Silver Sparkle Snare Drum is the desirable “rare“ model Radio King.**
