Paracho Elite Guitars are made in the legendary mountain village of Paracho, high in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico. Most of the luthiers there are multigenerational family businesses and it shows in the district and beautiful craftsmanship. Many Paracho guitars are played by recording and performing professionals. This hand crafted, quality guitar is made from some of the finest woods with a solid cedar top and mahogany back/sides. The requinto size produces a clear, sweet and bright sound very popular in trio romantico, mariachi and classical orchestra settings. This is a cutaway, six-string nylon guitar and is about 18% smaller than a standard guitar scale, making it more portable as well as a perfect guitar for couch sessions. I currently have it tuned in a standard tuning, but many musicians also like to tune these requinto guitars to: A-D-G-C-E-A. The depth of the guitar is substantial giving it the weight and feel of a professional instrument in a slightly smaller package. It also has a beautiful rosette with Abalone inlay, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and a natural clear gloss finish. Overall condition of the guitar is very good with a couple of scuffs/scratches. It is very playable, and has brand new strings installed.
