Complete Russell Manufacturing Co. “Library of Games” boxed set, dating from mid to late 1930s. These compact slipcase sets were popular precursors to the 1940s Disney Library of Games. This set includes all 6 original game decks, each with its own illustrated box and complete instructions. •. Crossword (1935) – 48 cards •. Authors (1935) – 48 cards • Slap Jack (1935) – 48 cards (some cards lightly creased but graphics perfectly fine) • Animal Rummy (1939) – 48 cards • Dr. Quack (1935) – 48 cards • Old Maid (no date) – 48 cards including Old Maid and instruction card. 👉 All decks are complete. 👉 Each retains its original illustrated tuck box. 👉 Each deck includes original "Rules for Playing." Very Good to Excellent Condition: • Cards: Very good overall – colors bright, light age toning, one or two decks show light creasing but no major losses. • Boxes: Five in very good shape, Old Maid box shows wear and separation at one seam. Slipcase: One split corner, light rubbing, but artwork and lettering remain clear. Rarity: This non-Disney Russell set is far harder to find complete than individual decks. Many surviving sets are missing a deck, instructions, a few cards, or have heavily worn slipcases. A full 6-deck run with instructions and tray, as offered here, is seldom seen.
