HALF THE PRICE OF MOST OTHERS ONLINE---CLEANED + LUBED---READY TO SEW NEEDS NOTHING--- SEE IT RUN OR SEW ANYTHING BEFORE YOU DECIDE--- This Singer from the mid to late 80s has 22 stitch patterns plus the auto button-hole settings. Its a free-arm machine as the base snaps off for sleeves. NEEDS NOTHING as it is ready to sew and includes bobbins, thread and even needles to get you started. I just went over it and it is SUPER-CLEAN with a new bulb, bobbin winding tire and all functions tested before it was oiled + greased. About half the price of the new MADE IN CHINA machines at Wal-Mart and Target (Brother and even Singer) and based on how many people buy a vintage machine of mine after they bought one, they last about 6 months before needing repairs that cost more than the machine. Machines from the 80s have some plastic panels (top) and almost EVERY brand and model went to plastic gears, so it is light and quiet but not quite the tanks they made in the 1960s and before (I have those too). These sew fast + smooth and are perfect for beginners to pros as the pros usually have a 2nd or 3rd machine setup so each does a certain job. That means a LOT LESS rethreading machines every time you change tasks. With 22 stitches, you have plenty of decorative patterns you will likely never use, but they are there.
