This is way more than your everyday electric bike. **I have cruised at around 36-38mph** SAFELY BECAUSE I HAVE MOTORCYCLE TIRES AND 4 piston HYDRAULIC BRAKES. Motorcycle tires make a huge, let me say it again huge difference. Also the tires are filled with “FlatOut” prevents breakdowns. I ran over a two inch nail and heard it, I then stopped found the nail and pulled it out. Immediately the tire sealed. To this day. FlatOut is Military grade stuff. Nighttime driving is made safe and easy with a lighted headlight switch. So when a turn signal is on the switch lights up to let you know. Same for headlights. Also has a horn. The base frame was an 48v Lectric bike. I replaced the 48v battery and replaced the 500w motor and the controller. Also the lighting system, brakes, and tires all replaced. Keep reading!!!!!! Here is what it is NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! The rear is 1500watt hub motor not the 500watt, it came with. (I still have the original) Controller is 72v 40a controller. This bike can run this 52v battery or if you get a bigger one just change setting on the display. This gives you twice the range. I have never been able to go so far away than I ran the battery low. The 52v is good for somewhere between 20 and 50 miles. Maybe more never went farther than that. This is a perfect bike to just get around it get to work.
