Monitoring: It was used to catch action from police and fire departments, ambulances, trains, amateur radio, taxis, weather, and planes. Access: It provided direct keyboard access to over 30,000 frequencies. Reception Today: While a decent scanner in its time, many police and fire departments have moved to modern digital trunked systems, which this older analog scanner generally cannot receive. It may still be useful for aviation and amateur radio bands, particularly in rural areas that haven't adopted newer systems. $100 OBO
